Claim your store
Some storefronts on MakerMade were imported before their makers arrived — real shops, with their listings, photos, and reviews already in place, waiting for their owner. If one of them is yours, claiming it takes a short form and one verification step.
How to claim
- Go to your storefront on MakerMade. Unclaimed imported shops show a
claim link — or go directly to
makermade.market/claim/your-shop-name. - Fill out the claim form. Your name, your email, and enough for us to verify you’re the maker behind the shop — a link to the original shop or your site is the fastest proof.
- We verify and approve. A human reviews every claim. We match the claim against the original shop and approve it to the email you gave us.
- Sign in with that email. Create your MakerMade account (or sign in) using the same email address, and the store attaches to your account automatically. It’s yours — dashboard, listings, reviews, everything.
Most claims are reviewed within a business day.
What you get
A claimed store is a normal store — you’re not starting over:
- Every imported listing (as drafts for your review), with full-resolution photos.
- Your reviews and ratings, already mapped to listings.
- Your storefront branding and featured items.
- Full control: edit anything, unpublish anything, or ask us to delete the store entirely if you’d rather not be here (we’ll do it, no argument).
From there the path is the regular setup checklist: ship-from address, shipping profiles, connect payouts, publish.
Why did you import my shop?
We seed the marketplace with shops whose work fits what buyers come here for — it’s how a young marketplace avoids feeling empty, and how your shop gets found by our buyers before you’ve lifted a finger. Imported shops are clearly marked, buyers are pointed to the original until the maker claims it, and no sales happen on an unclaimed shop. If you’d rather your shop not appear at all, tell us once and it’s gone.
If someone else claimed your shop
Claims are human-reviewed against the original shop, so this should be rare — but if you believe a shop was claimed by someone who isn’t the maker, contact us immediately (Contact, in the footer) and we’ll freeze and investigate.
